(CHICAGO) 鈥 Graduate programs across Rush University are ranked among the nation鈥檚 best in U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 2021 Best Graduate Schools edition released March 17, with eight nursing programs and one health sciences programs ranked in the top 10.
The improved in four categories and has three programs ranked second in the nation:
- Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care)
- Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care)
- Nursing Leadership

The following Rush nursing programs are also ranked:
- Family Nurse Practitioner (No. 3)
- Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (No. 3)
- Nursing Administration/Management (No. 4)
- Clinical Nurse Leader (No. 5)
- Nursing Anesthesia (No. 4, ranked in 2016)
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (No. 5, ranked in 2019)
The College of Nursing is ranked eighth in the Doctor in Nursing Practice category and 24th in the Master鈥檚 Degree category. There are more than 600 nursing schools in the U.S. with master鈥檚 or doctoral programs.
Additionally, in January the College of Nursing in U.S. News鈥 2020 Best Online Programs list and first among Best Online Master鈥檚 in Nursing Programs for Veterans.
搁耻蝉丑鈥檚 has two disciplines ranked in the top 10:
- Audiology 鈥 Doctorate (No. 8)
- Health Systems Management (No. 5, ranked in 2020)
The Audiology program has been ranked in the top 10 each year since the program鈥檚 first ranking in 2008.
Additionally, the College of Health Sciences鈥 Speech-Language Pathology program jumped from 24th to 16th in the rankings, and the school鈥檚 Occupational Therapy program garnered its first ranking (No. 23) since becoming a fully accredited doctoral-level program in 2019.

ranked 58th in U.S. News鈥 Research category, improving 12 spots from the previous year, and placed 68th in Primary Care.
