How fitness and sports performance virtual care works

  • 1. Schedule your appointment

    Making a major change to your exercise routine? Talk to an expert about how to protect yourself. We may ask some questions about your health as part of the scheduling process. Answer these questions, then select an available appointment time. That’s it!

  • 2. Log on at your appointment time

    Open MyChart or the My Rush app. You will get a prompt that your provider is ready to connect. Join the video chat on your smartphone or tablet.

  • 3. Receive a care plan

    Our Rush experts will work with you to write a personalized care plan. Whether you are coming back after a cardiac event, looking for support for back pain or something else, we can help.

  • 4. Support along the way

    Once you have your care plan, you’re not alone. Whether it’s through virtual follow-up appointments, in-person care or something else, we work with you to help you reach your fitness goals while recovering from a cardiac event or dealing with neck and back pain. If you need follow-up care (from additional testing to another specialty), we can connect you.

Can I get a prescription filled through a virtual visit?

Yes. Whether you need a new prescription or a refill, we can send it to the pharmacy of your choice.

How can I pay for my visits?

Rush makes it easy to pay for your On Demand visits.

If you have insurance with a , just confirm your insurance information when you schedule your visit and you will not need to pay an upfront fee today for your visit. We will submit a claim to your insurance provider after your visit and you will be responsible for any co-pays or coinsurance that may apply, as determined by your plan. More information on how Rush processes insurance is available on the insurance page. Insurance coverage for telehealth visits can vary. For questions about your coverage, contact your insurance provider.

If we do not have your insurance on file, if you do not currently have insurance coverage, or if you have coverage but elect to pay for this service out-of-pocket, you will pay $99 in advance of receiving this service.

By electing to pay out-of-pocket, you understand that by making this election you waive your right to subsequently bill a health plan for the item(s) and/or service(s) you are receiving today. You acknowledge and agree that you will pay directly for any items and/or services provided to you and Rush will not bill any other third party, including any federal or state health care program, for such items and/or services.
